Welcome to our world of discovery and learning!

Welcome to our daily blog! We use it to share daily updates on our classroom, reflections on our learning with children, and photographs. Extended family, friends, neighbors, educators, etc, are also encouraged to follow the blog!
One of the wonderful aspects of blogging is that it allows real-time interaction between home and school. Is your child talking about what we are doing in school? Leave us a comment and let us know! Are you interested (or even an expert!) in something we are studying? Leave us a comment and let us know! Are you planning an outing with your child to extend the classroom learning? Leave us a comment and invite other families along!
We also have a section call, "Learn More About..." When we write each post, we tag it with relevant topics. And so if you wanted to see what we have been doing with, for instance, science, you would click on that tag, and see all the posts about science.

The Chicken Master

...Matthew decided that that's what today's blog should be called. Is there a reason? If there is, he decided to keep it to himself!

Anyway, since it was a dreary morning outside, we decided to make a little bit .the beauty of nature indoors! Using tissue paper and pipe cleaners, we assembled a wonderfully colorful array of flowers

We also enjoyed some healthy outdoor fun once the rain stopped. And...well...when rain happens, there will be lots of puddles and lots of mud. The Owls were delighted by these additions to the playground, and enjoyed every moment until many of them were quite damp. This is, of course, one of the reasons why we ask for changes of clothes. Many of those changes were put to use today, and in the frenzy, there is a chance that some friends put on clothes that didn't belong to them. All apologies if there were switches made and your Owl came home with a brand new outfit on (which may or may not have belonged to them). We promise that lots of outdoor learning happened, including sprout planting, balancing, full body mixing, lots of leaping, and more!
