Today was glorious outside, even if there was a slight chill. We spent virtually the whole morning outside. We went on a seed walk around the meadow outside of Lower School, and friends were so excited to spot all the different kinds of seeds that grow on the trees around campus! We found "helicopters", and friends were so excited to try to dissect the small pod in order to find the seed inside. We also found marble-shaped pods, and we discovered that they pop when you apply pressure! After the pods pop, a tiny, white seed can be found inside. Some Owls planted the seeds that they found in the hopes that new trees will grow and our natural community will be more enriched!
Also, all of our butterflies emerged over the weekend! Friends were so excited!
