Welcome to our world of discovery and learning!

Welcome to our daily blog! We use it to share daily updates on our classroom, reflections on our learning with children, and photographs. Extended family, friends, neighbors, educators, etc, are also encouraged to follow the blog!
One of the wonderful aspects of blogging is that it allows real-time interaction between home and school. Is your child talking about what we are doing in school? Leave us a comment and let us know! Are you interested (or even an expert!) in something we are studying? Leave us a comment and let us know! Are you planning an outing with your child to extend the classroom learning? Leave us a comment and invite other families along!
We also have a section call, "Learn More About..." When we write each post, we tag it with relevant topics. And so if you wanted to see what we have been doing with, for instance, science, you would click on that tag, and see all the posts about science.

And So We Sew

Dear Owl Families,
Several of you asked for this information:
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Thursday 9:30 A.M. St. Hilary of Poitiers Church, 920 Susquehanna Rd., Rydal, PA 19046 followed by Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to Abington Friends School, c/o David Eldridge, 575 Washington La., Jenkintown, PA 19046 would be appreciated.
Debbie, Tamara and Mike will be attending from the school. Let us know if you have any questions.

This morning we continued our story for the show, adding a detailed description of the problem. We also acknowledged that even though we've been working on being peaceful and kind all year, parts of the story aren't those things, so we proposed the question: What can we do to make our story more kind and more peaceful? There were a few suggestions but we will be discussing this problem further.

Last night, Tamara got fabric so that we can start making our costumes! Thanks to Kristin, we had a sewing machine on site and a few friends began to make their characters come to life.
We had a music lesson today with another candidate applying for the Lower School music position. She sang a few songs with us that practiced counting and rhyming, and we got to play with beanbags which we always love to do.
