This morning, the Owls enjoyed playing a wonderful game brought in by Mimi called the ABC Letter Game, made by a company called Super Why Kids. This game specifically targets preschool-aged children, but proved quite difficult for many! Of course, difficult is certainly not bad, because we all know that there is much learning that happens within the struggle. The game challenged every player while respecting where they are in their progress, and friends were so proud when they completed and won.
The game focused on many important literacy elements, such as letter-sound recognition, upper and lower case letter recognition, and rhyming.
We also worked on more Rorschach prints, prepping for our entry with the springtime Art Day (hint! hint!).

Sweeping out ant invaders. Note Lucas, ready to attack with a stick (we're working on remembering Quaker values in the midst of panic) |

So ready for snow! |
