Welcome to our world of discovery and learning!

Welcome to our daily blog! We use it to share daily updates on our classroom, reflections on our learning with children, and photographs. Extended family, friends, neighbors, educators, etc, are also encouraged to follow the blog!
One of the wonderful aspects of blogging is that it allows real-time interaction between home and school. Is your child talking about what we are doing in school? Leave us a comment and let us know! Are you interested (or even an expert!) in something we are studying? Leave us a comment and let us know! Are you planning an outing with your child to extend the classroom learning? Leave us a comment and invite other families along!
We also have a section call, "Learn More About..." When we write each post, we tag it with relevant topics. And so if you wanted to see what we have been doing with, for instance, science, you would click on that tag, and see all the posts about science.

Houston, We Have Diapering

After the wonderful visit from Lalasa and Joon on Friday, the Owls were very excited to continue with their exploration of play with babies. This morning, friends headed right over to the Dramatic Play area, picked up the dolls, and began their play. Joon and Lalasa left some new born diapers from their visit, so Tamara showed the Owls how to properly dress a diaper. Friends became very excited, and we soon had a changing table set up in Dramatic Play. Even many Owls that weren't putting diapers on dolls were caring for our dolls by hold them gently, feeding them, and walking them around the room. Such caring friends!

Potty time!
We also went into the hall for some community music and building time. The Catbirds came out for some sing-a-longs, and friends were intently focused on building more ramps for balls and cars.
Debbie came in to play with us, too!

Other Owlings:
Hangin' ten, dude!
