Español con las Lechuzas y los Búhos: Los Números: 1-6

¡Bienvenidos familia, amigas, y amigos! During la clase de Español, it was Tamara’s turn to choose our destination to a Spanish speaking country. After our traditional morning greeting in Spanish, she suggested we head to Venezuela.

Las Lechuzas y Los Búhos are asked in Spanish how we will get there:
¿Comó vamos a viajar? (How will we travel?)

And, a few suggestions are mentioned....
en carro (by car)
en tren (by train)
en bote (by boat)
en bicicleta (by bicycle)

But, Las Lechuzas y Los Búhos are catching on and know that our mode of transportation is by plane as they all responded, “en avión!”  So, off we went en avión to our destination. Upon our return, we settled into this Spanish speaking country and gathered in a círculo.

Next, we practiced saying the numbers 1 through 6 in Spanish. Using a jumbo die, each Lechuza y Búho got the chance to roll it and everyone was encouraged to clap and count in Spanish the amount the numbered rolled represented.
uno - one
dos – two
tres - three
cuatro – four
cinco - five
seis – six

Afterwards, we played a most enjoyable game of the “Swatter Game.” What a fruitful and fun way to help us reinforce learning!

We finished our class with our traditional ¡Adios. Hasta luego! song and Tamara squeezing la vaca. ¡Gracias, Tamara!

¡Hasta nuestro proximo viaje!

Paz,
Alicia
