Water Beads, Exploring the School and a Song for Jamaica

Water beads are an amazing substance! They grow from tiny crystals, getting bigger and bigger as they absorb water. The Catbirds shared them with us, and we loved exploring them and watching as they grew.

We divided into our Owl groups, and went on explorations around the school:
talking to Roseanne about our spiders

getting a net from Jim to catch prey for the spider

visiting the first graders' monarch butterflies

And we said bon voyage to Kristin as she gets ready for a week long trip to Jamaica:

Other happenings:
We re-arranged the classroom so there is more room for running and jumping in the Dramatic Play area
